Sell an Irresistible Offer

Don’t make the mistake of seeing only the product or service your selling prospects. Perhaps you can stand out in the way you provide or delivery your product / service.

A great example is pizza.

There must be millions of pizza shops. It would be easy to say there was no unique way to sell pizza correct?

Domino’s Pizza was started out as just one of those millions. They grew into an empire not because of their pizza – but because of their unique selling proposition: ‘Get your pizza in 30 minutes or less or it’s free’.

There are several important elements to the offer:

When you’re hungry – you’re hungry! Promising the person that they are less than 30 minutes away from a meal is smart.

Domino’s was also in a sense challenging people. People actively tried to see if they could beat Domino’s at their own game (which is what domino’s depended on)

The message was simple to understand and remember

Did you notice that the ‘product’ (pizza) was NOT what made the empire? It was unique delivery of the product that made it stand out.

Too often in selling we get the prospect bogged down with too much detail. Our focus for the prospect should be  JUST the elements that mean the most to that particular prospect. Yes, you can point out that other features exist, but stay focused on what the prospect is focused on.

I heard a story about a man who was selling refrigerators during the Great Depression. Again, refrigerators stores were commonplace so how did he stand out from the crowd in order to sell more?

This man ended up selling refrigerators left and right because he sold his already stocked with meat. You can imagine if this man was making cold calls to prospects about his offer it stood out in the prospects mind.

If you will spend the time to figure out how you can approach the sale of your product / service from a different perspective you will set up a new paradigm in your field.

In the conversation that has replaced your ‘magical’ sales script you can find a way to bring up this new paridigm (your irresistable offer) and this one sales tip can lead to amazing sales success.
